UF Postdoc Writing Program Spring 2021 Virtual Writing Retreats
Join the UF Postdoc Writing Program virtual writing retreats to meet your spring writing goals in a supportive community of peers. Virtual writing retreats will be held the last Tuesday of each month, 1pm – 4:30pm. Each session consists of a 15 minute group check-in at the beginning of the session, 3 hours of writing, and a 15 minute group check-out at the end of the session. Once you have registered, you will receive the retreat zoom link.

Virtual Writing Retreats – November 4th & November 17th – Registration Open!
Join the UF Postdoc Writing Program virtual writing retreats to meet your end-of-the-year writing goals in a supportive community of peers. Health Science Center Workshops – October Schedule

The STCC is pleased to announce the second event in our Spring Seminar series – Science Communication: The Art of Making Science Mean Something to People, on Thursday, March 4th from 11:00am – 12:00pm EST.
Please join our panel of scientists-and-communicators Moiya McTier, Bethany Brookshire, and Stephen Granade as they discuss their experiences using their science backgrounds to bring science to the public through writing, storytelling, journalism, and occasionally putting on elf ears and Star Trek uniforms.

Postdoc Writing Place Schedule

UF Postdoc Writing Places are open to all UF Postdocs. Writing Place sessions will provide a communal space with coffee and light snacks for writing alongside your peers. These sessions will not include instruction, but are for the purpose of creating a time and space where you can prioritize your writing over your other responsibilities to help you meet your writing goals.
New Resource! The Postdoc Academy – Online Professional Development Training Resources
The Postdoc Academy is a digital professional development program designed specifically for postdocs. Its first, free online course, titled “Succeeding as a Postdoc“, was released on Jan. 13. The Academy will run for five weeks.

Postdoc Award announcements will be included in the weekly UF Postdoctoral Update Newsletter and Awards and other Achievements (such as publications) will be featured on the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs website.
